As project engineer on The Black Series, I worked closely with designers, sculptors, brand managers, graphics designers, and project managers to bring figures from concept art to figures on shelf. With both mainline and retailer exclusive offerings, I drove success by being incredibly detail oriented, making the right tradeoffs while not losing quality, and keeping the needs of the fans as our guiding light.

Being project engineer meant being the owner of each figure, including but not limited to:

Cost estimation and quote negotiation, including paint application and plastic injection molding tooling layout
Sample review and feedback communication with international teams and vendors
Weekly presentations with execs to give financial status and request tooling funds
Regular meetings with Lucasfilm Ltd, presenting figures and getting feedback and approval from one of the largest licensors in the world
Engaging in new SKU ideation based on timeline, tooling budget, current entertainment slate, and minimal concept art
